Grace Spulak, JD, is a Senior Court Management Consultant with the National Center for State Courts. Prior to NCSC, Grace was the Director of the New Mexico Commission on Access to Justice where they worked on a number of innovative court projects aimed at improving the civil justice system for self-represented litigants, including overseeing New Mexico’s eviction diversion program, developing court navigator pilots, providing training and technical assistance to self-help centers across the state, implementing equity initiatives for the Commission, and designing stakeholder and court user feedback mechanisms for the judiciary and the Commission. Grace has presented on Access to Justice issues in national forums. Prior to working with the NM Access to Justice Commission, Grace did child welfare and child advocacy work for ten years. Grace currently acts as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law, teaching Children and the Law. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and was a Skadden Fellow.
