Michael Semanchik is the Managing Attorney at the California Innocence Project. In his 13 years of practicing law, he has been involved in freeing 10 innocent people from prison who collectively served more than 150 years in prison for crimes they did not commit. In addition to litigating cases, Michael supervises law students, manages the firm's budgets and grants, and regularly appears in the media on behalf of the firm. In 2013, California Lawyer Magazine named him Attorney of the Year. In 2014, Michael was recognized by The Daily Transcript as a Top Attorney. Michael is married with two children and lives in San Diego, CA.
