Ann Walsh Long is the Director of the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library and has more than 30 years of experience working as a law librarian. Prior to joining the court in July 2022, Ann was a founding librarian and an Associate Professor of Law at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law where she taught Legal Research I, II, and III, Advanced Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research for Competitive Intelligence. Ann literally wrote the book on Advanced Legal Research (West Academic, 2d 2021), primarily to help her students learn the indispensable legal research resources for each stage of civil litigation. Ann has been recognized twice by AALL – first for writing the Spectrum article of the year and later for her work as Chair on the Publishing Initiatives Caucus, when she received a Presidential Certificate of Merit. Additionally, Ann worked in the law libraries of four “Big Law” firms and at the Environmental Protectional Agency’s Library in Washington, D.C. She has a J.D. from Lincoln Memorial University, a M.S.L.S. from Catholic University of America, and B.A. from Colorado College.
