Carla Wale is the Director of the graduate Law Librarianship Program, an Associate Teaching Professor, and Associate Dean for Gallagher Law Library and Information Systems at the University of Washington. Under her leadership, the UW Law Librarianship Program curriculum was modernized to include data science, law teaching practicums, and legal informatics, resulting in a record number of applicants in 2023, and Gallagher Law Library has begun pivoting to an agile services, curricular, and operations model focused on public interest technoilogy and instruction.
