Biography
Marjorie E. Crawford began her career at Rutgers Law Library in 1972. She was promoted to Librarian II with tenure in 2010. She is the Associate Director and Reference Librarian. During her career at Rutgers, Marjorie has worked also in technical and automated services. She has taught Advanced Legal Research and Diversity & Inequality. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers College and her Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies.
Marjorie is active in the American Association of Law Librarians (AALL). She has served on the Annual Meeting Program Committee, Government Relations Committee, Copyright Committee, Awards Committee, Foreign, Comparative, & International Law Committee, Committee on Relations with Information Vendors, and George A. Strait Scholarship & Fellows Committee. Highly active in the AALL Special Interest Sections (SIS) and Caucuses. She has served in leadership positions in the AALL Black Law Librarian-SIS, Library Systems & Resource Discovery-SIS/Online Bibliographic Services-SIS, AALL Academic Law Library-SIS, Technical Services SIS, Foreign, Comparative, & International Law SIS, and the Animal Law Caucus. She has served also in leadership positions in the New Jersey Law Librarians Association.
