Donna has been with Bowman and Brooke LLP for 37 years, almost since the firm’s inception. An unexpected medical leave a few years ago and her impending retirement have forced the firm to consider succession planning. Donna has been heavily involved in research, particularly on experts and agency actions relevant to the firm’s cases. Because of this, succession planning must include not only library operations but specialized research skills. It is also important to capture the institutional knowledge and large cache of research materials that have been compiled. She and Amy are currently involved in creating a logical plan for this transfer of knowledge.
