Kirstin Nelson is a law librarian at the USDA National Agricultural Library (NAL). She coordinates the Agricultural Law Information Partnership, which supports agricultural and food law information dissemination to consumers, researchers, policymakers, and legal professionals. Kirstin is also the NAL Diversity and Inclusion Council's Executive Director and an adjunct law professor at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law. She is committed to DEI work both in her professional and personal life. She holds a DEI certification from Cornell University, a Foundations I certificate in Conversational Intelligence® (C-IQ) from the CreatingWe Institute, and is a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI). She is currently on assignment to the USDA Chief Diversity and Inclusion Office in the Office of the Secretary.
