Chris Lund is the Principal Law Librarian for the New York Unified Court System’s Sixth Judicial District, covering the counties of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins. After earning a JD at Cornell Law School, Chris spent five years practicing commercial real estate law at small law firm on Long Island. He then spent several more years working in Manhattan law firms while earning his MLIS from St. John’s University until being hired as the Law Librarian for the Sixth JD in December, 2018, where he has been working ever since. In his current position, he is responsible for managing the seven courthouse law libraries and the three law library/public library partnerships in his district, along with the district Help Center. He currently resides in the city of Cortland with his partner Meghan and their two cats.
