Patent Storytelling: Creating Concise Narratives Out of Big Data

With hundreds of millions of patents having been issued by dozens of legal authorities worldwide and written in highly technical jargon across myriad languages, patent data is inherently dynamic and complex and interacting with it can often lead to incomplete or inaccurate results. This program will prepare you to make informed decisions about what to include or exclude in a patent set. We will include use cases on various patent research platforms to show best practices in addressing stakeholder needs and the pitfalls of making complex data easily digestible in visualizations and analytics.

This presentation will include an interactive case study to create an effective patent portfolio with dynamic visualizations and analytics so trends and outcomes can be readily understood by stakeholders. The panel will show methods scalable and accessible to information teams of any size.
