Law Librarians are often called upon to do short educational programs, such as guest lectures, technology training, and CLE sessions. Building on the literature on corporate training sessions and "one-shot" presentations in academia, this program will describe best practices for developing, marketing, and delivering such programs. Panelists and attendees will discuss how to present information effectively, how to reach out to your audience, and how to engage the audience so the information presented sticks. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate sample instructional materials and create a plan for a one-hour training session based on a hypothetical scenario targeted to their work setting.
