Litigation dockets remain one of the open issues in legal research and data management. Dockets contain a wealth of information, both on their face and in the underlying filings listed within, but finding that information can be tricky. This session will explore what information a researcher can find within dockets and docket searching platforms, guide participants through some search scenarios and strings, and discuss some of the challenges and limitations of these resources.

Any law librarians engaged in general legal research, as well as anyone who teaches or provides training about dockets and docket searching.
